Box Five
Productions + Publications

Box Five is a part-time production company, a part-time publication ring, and a thinly veiled reference to The Phantom of the Opera. Established in January 2017 and based in colorful Quezon City, Box Five takes fun very, very seriously.

As a production company, Box Five began with a ragtag but determined bunch of Yuri!!! on ICE fans, thus spearheading the country’s largest gay anime ice skating events. Box Five is home to Born To Make History: A Yuri!!! on ICE Fan Gathering, the largest gathering of Yuri!!! on ICE fans in the country, which drew over 1,200 attendees last March 26 2017, and its pre-event party, Hear My Heartbeat: The #yoiconph2017 Pre-Party, executed in collaboration with SM Skating and the Philippine Skating Union and attended by almost 450 attendees last March 10 2017.

As a publication ring, Box Five also manages and develops a handful of online assets. These assets include Rinkside PH, a blog and news outlet centered on developments in Philippine figure skating, and Out Of Character, an online magazine featuring up-and-coming Filipino cosplayers in high-end fashion editorials.

Utilizing his inherent business acumen and capitalizing on the success that he has built for himself ever since he first began cosplaying in 2011, internationally acclaimed cosplayer Liui Aquino recently established his own company dedicated to the field that made him famous.

COS CORP is an event and public relations network dedicated to building the cosplay industry in the Philippines. The company aims to elevate the Philippine cosplay scene through the presence and participation of esteemed international cosplayers at local events and, at the same time, empower local cosplayers who display the drive and potential for international success through dedicated education and mentorship.

Established in August 2017, COS CORP has already partnered with Cosplay Mania, the largest anime, manga, and cosplay event in the country attended by over 20,000 people each year. Through this tie-up, COS CORP has succeeded in securing two talented cosplayers for Cosplay Mania 2017: Eki Cosplay, a well-known South Korean cosplayer with over 56,000 fans on Facebook, and Kyung Min Kong, a newly discovered South Korean talent who bagged the top prize at the World Cosplay Summit 2017.
